Objectives of Landmark University SIWES Unit
- Organize orientation courses for their students in collaboration with the ITF Area Office.
- Identify opportunities for placements with employers for students,
- Student supervision in the industries within our ITF zone,
- Processing of logbooks, ITF forms and industrial attachment reports for students on the basis of support for supervisory and student allowance from the federal government,
- Encouragement of close relations between the university and the business involved in SIWES,
- Provide advice on career opportunities for participating students
- Monitoring compliance by students in eligible disciplines with the SIWES requirements as a condition for graduation.
- Facilitate the payments of student allowance by e-payment to eligible students.
- Apply the job requirements in accordance with Federal Government minimum academic standard guidelines as prepared for each accredited course and award the appropriate credit units.
